We have been actively engaged in the development of initiatives and best practices that enhance the capacity of local governments to improve legal compliance and the capacity of our suppliers to comply with our labor standards. We have undertaken these initiatives in collaboration or consultation with other leading companies, NGOs (non-governmental organizations), labor groups, international organizations and multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Additionally, we seek active and constructive engagement and cooperation with labor groups and NGOs focused on solving problems that may arise at our vendors' facilities. Through these efforts, we strive to develop effective and sustainable models for addressing challenges throughout our supply chain.

Limited Brands sources goods from countries all over the world, and we insist that our suppliers comply with our labor and other standards. If they don't, we support them in making the necessary changes so that they do. We cannot and will not work with those who don't work to meet our standards.

We know it is our responsibility to ensure that our partners are in compliance with our standards. In order to do this, we have implemented a strategic internal audit process and are committed to providing our vendors opportunities for learning and development.

Limited Brands' auditors, accountants and attorneys assure that Limited Brands' associates fully understand and comply with our sourcing policies and procedures.

As Limited Brands continues to foster strategic relationships with vendors, it maintains its commitment to vendor education. While we recognize that local customs and values profoundly influence individual judgments in many areas covered by these standards, we support the work of international agencies and organizations that seek to implement internationally recognized standards for labor practices.

Our list of qualified vendors and factories is established and maintained in reliance on specific qualification standards and protocols developed by IPS, a function within our company that implements Limited Brands' standards and compliance protocols.

We participate in a number of multi-stakeholder initiatives (for example, the Business Council for Global Development). Such organizations work to enhance the rule of law and labor standards, support international institutions and advocate for policies that benefit many of the communities in which our products are produced.
