• When was the company founded?

  The company's founder, chairman and CEO, Leslie H. Wexner opened the first store (The Limited) in 1963 at the Kingsdale Shopping Center in Columbus, Ohio. The company began trading over-the-counter in 1969 and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1982. Today Limited Brands operates more than 2,600 specialty stores in the United States and its brands are sold in more than 600 company-operated and franchised additional locations worldwide.
